Jordyn

CCPDT-KA

Hello my name is Jordyn, I was always an animal person and always had dogs growing up. My journey in working with dogs specifically began when I started a job as a dog walker. I spent all day outside with dogs and this led to a desire to understand what drove dogs to behave in the funny and foreign (to me at the time) ways that they did. This desire soon evolved into learning about dog training, behavior and ethology. I gained hands on experience at a training and boarding facility for many years getting to work with all breeds of dogs and experienced mentors.

I believe in helping humans build an intuitive relationship with their dogs to create lifelong bonds and help empower people to feel confident in their abilities to train their dog. I hope to help dogs be more successful in a world that is not necessarily structured for their natural instincts.

My goal is to make training accessible to everyone and find ways in which we enrich our dogs lives and help them live cohesively with us and NOT against us.

I will get to know your dog’s specific needs and abilities while never using a one size fits all approach

My commitment to you:

  • work to help you better interact with your dog through understanding behavior body language and dogs natural instincts.

  • show you how to incorporate more choices to allow your dog more control and therefore redress stress and add longevity to their lives

  • help you understand management as a way to help your dog succeed in making better decisions inside and outside of the house

  • work to reinforce desired behavior as a way to start to teach dogs to make better choices on their own always help you understand WHY the things we talk about are necessary

  • prioritize honesty, compassion, and accountability when interacting with you and your dog
